Very windy and rainy day yesterday. At about 8 oclock we heard a big “boom” outside and the lights went off. I yelled down at Fran b/c she was experimenting in the kitchen with a new recipe, but it wasn’t her. ☺ Guess another tree fell in the neighborhood (one fell about 2 weeks ago) and we were without power just as she was going to start cooking her experiment.

So, we “evacuated” to the Airstream which is still parked on the side of the house because I hadn’t dragged it back to the storage yard after last weekend’s camping trip. I turned on the gas, fired up the stove and we “camped out” for a couple of hours. It was really kinda nice. We didn’t have the TV or computer going, only a radio playing and were “forced” to just talk and entertain ourselves. Of course we weren’t forced, but I mean we weren’t just talking to each other in between bites of food during dinner or in-between commercials while watching the news. We had a really fun time, just the two of us.

Ooops... Santorini was at our feet as normal and definitely didn’t let us forget he was there too.

Maybe I won’t take the trailer back for a while and we’ll just use it for a “retreat” once or twice a week.
