In Awed and Hushed Tone, Diane Sawyer Reads Aloud From Obama

In an odd, non-sequitur of a segment, co-host Diane Sawyer kicked off the 8:30 hour of Friday's "Good Morning America" by reading aloud from an essay that President-elect Barack Obama wrote about Abraham Lincoln for a 2005 issue of Time magazine. Stopping the show cold for a minute and 22 seconds, she solemnly began, "...There was something that made us all stop and think. And you know, it's 60 days now. 60 days until the inauguration of a new president."

Then, Sawyer gravely announced that Obama had, in fact, written an essay: "And we saw that President-elect Obama has a favorite photograph, which he looks at. And here are the words that he wrote in Time magazine. An essay." To music that seemed reminiscent of the Ken Burns "Civil War" documentary, with images of Lincoln appearing on screen, the GMA host recited the words of the President-elect's Time article.

Earth to Diane, Earth to Diane...come in Diane. The BO has already been elected. You can stop campaigning now. Please leave the documentaries to professionals.

The revolution seems to be starting here on your blogspot...

BTW, the tobacco looks suspicious...could be some Brasilian coca plant...hmmm the feds might want to raid. Did you try drying them in the oven a little before hanging them? We had a tobacco barn in Maryland growing up...no fire, just airy, hot and humid. Drying usually starts in Aug and goes through the fall. The leaves should be the size of say a small tablecloth...yours look like a small handkerchief. How did it taste? Most tobacco in the US is heavily flavored with artificial flavors...I can get you some samples if you want...I have a friend who has a flavor company that specializes in tobacco flavors.
